What are the differences between Albion ONE and BBC Symphony Orchestra Core?

Updated over 2 months ago

We recommend Albion ONE or BBC Symphony Orchestra Core for customers who are beginning their journey into the Film Scoring industry.

Typically, Albion ONE users will want to create big sounding, cinematic scores. This pack is great for creating quick Ensemble sketches, using the Orchestral patches, recorded at the world famous Air Studios.

Stephenson Steam Band patches and Brunel Loops are also included in this library. With these you can compose with hybrid-orchestral layers, that can provide extra textures to interweave with your Orchestral work, or create a tense underscore over dialogue in a scene.

On the other hand, BBC Symphony Orchestra Core allows you to create detailed Orchestral scores. Unlike Albion ONE, which has ensemble patches, you have access to individual instruments and sections (for the full breakdown, view this article). This way of working is best if you are looking to translate your Digital Audio Workstation session into a functional score- for live recording.
