What are the Differences Between the SA Recordings Libraries?

Updated over 2 months ago

Alev Lenz - 3

Alev - 3 is a collection of evolving drones, haunting vocals and textural beds made in collaboration with acclaimed composer Alev Lenz.

Oliver Patrice Weder - OPW

OPW is made of organic, emotive instruments and shimmering electronic manipulations featuring a Felted Piano and Wurlitzer at its heart.

Many of the sounds in this library can also be heard on Oliver Patrice Weder's debut Album "OPW".

Lea Bertucci - Acoustic Shadows

Acoustic Shadows contains a large mixture of Brass and Percussion instruments performing a selection of extended techniques.

Further, this library is really enhanced by the extraordinary recording space which was a cavernous industrial fridge.

Alex Epton - Entropy

Entropy is a more experimental, electronic library.

It features sweeping synths, pulsing bass drones, multilayered sound design textures and distorted percussive elements.

Raven Bush - Moonglades

Similar to OPW, Moonglades combines acoustic and electronic layers.

Whereas OPW features a Piano at its centre, the main feature in this library is a Baritone & five string Violins. It further features a vintage synth collection, warped and weaved together with detailed programming and effects.

Henrietta Smith-Rolla - Spectrum

Spectrum is a raw, gritty, expressive palette of electronic textures and analog synth sounds meticulously curated by artist and composer Henrietta Smith-Rolla.

This library is packed with inspiring sounds perfect for crafting futuristic soundscapes, edgy scores, and anything in-between. Included you’ll find 5 rhythmic loops, 5 non-traditional percussion patches, a plethora of lead synths and an array of textured pad-like sounds.

Hainbach - Landfill Totems

Landfill Totems is a digital kitbag of forgotten 80’s memories, lucid synth dreams, and retro-futuristic ambience, straight from the hands and mind of experimental electronics composer, Hainbach.

This library includes patches that were recorded from up-cycled, obsolete technology that would otherwise be thought of as landfill material. You’ll find a vast variety of synthetic sounds from piercing leads, to static noise, to mellow, almost organic organ-like sounds. Also included are several non-traditional percussive loops, and electronic drum patches.
