How do I install Spitfire Symphony Orchestra Discover?

If you're new to Spitfire Audio's Kontakt Player libraries, or would like a refresher on the process, this article will cover the steps to download and install our Spitfire Symphony Orchestra Discover.

Installing Spitfire Symphony Orchestra Discover

1) Download and install the Spitfire Audio App, you can find it here.

2) Launch your Spitfire Audio App, login, and find Spitfire Symphony Orchestra Discover under 'My Products'.

You can also filter this view by clicking on the "not installed" button, or look up the library by name in the top right search bar.


2) Click install, and you'll see the option to select the location that you want to download your library to. This will automatically be set to your "Default Content Path", which you can change in the app under Settings if you want to.

You also have the option to manually browse to your preferred location by clicking on the folder icon.


3) Once you're set, click download and you'll see the download begins with a progress bar and an estimated download time:


Once the download is complete, you will have your library folder. It's now time to authorise your serial number via Native Access in order to add the library to Kontakt Player, which you will need in order to load it in your DAW.

Authorising your serial and adding your library to Kontakt Player

1) Install Native Access and Kontakt Player:

Download and install Native Access here.

  • Open the Native Access application.

  • Create a Native ID, if you do not have one already.

  • Login to Native Access using your Native ID.

  • Click Library on the left side of Native Access.

  • Click Available at the top of Native Access.

  • Click the Kontakt category to only show products related to Kontakt.

  • Click Install for Kontakt 8 Player. The software is installed automatically.

2) Authorise your serial number for Spitfire Symphony Orchestra Discover, you can find you serial in the "download ready" email you received from us, or on your profile in your Spitfire Audio Account, here: spitfireaudio.com/my-account/serial-numbers/

Click on "Add Serial" in the bottom left hand corner of Native Access, then paste your serial number in the relevant field and click the 'Add Serial' button.


You'll see a confirmation that you have successfully registered SSO Discover in Native Access.


3) Go to your Library view in Native Access and you'll find SSO Discover ready to add.


When you click on the 'Add Product' button you'll be prompted to 'Choose a Location', click on that message in order to browse to your library folder.

Once selected, you'll see the file path has been populated under 'choose a location', and you can click on 'Add Product'


You'll see a message confirming that you have successfully added SSO Discover, meaning it's ready to load via Kontakt. ​


Loading your library via Kontakt Player in your DAW

You are now ready to access SSO Discover via Kontakt Player in your preferred DAW, or load Kontakt Player as a standalone if you just want to preview the sounds without recording them.
