To install the LABS Plugin, first you'll need to download the "LABS Installer" from here: https://labs.spitfireaudio.com/download
Once downloaded, double click the installer to open it.
Windows:
1. When you first open the installer, you will see the screen below. Please make sure to close your DAW and any other applications that may use your VST folders.
2. Next, agree to the license terms and conditions.
3. Then you'll see this window to confirm the installation.
4. Next you'll choose which components you'll be installing. If you'd like to run LABS outside of your DAW, make sure that Standalone is checked. If you're using Pro Tools, make sure that AAX Plugin is checked. For all other DAWs and use cases, VST and VST3 are enough, but Standalone is also recommended.
5. Then you'll select the path for your plugin files to install to. Please note that this is *not* the path for your sample content, it is only the plugin files which are very small. It is not recommended to change these paths unless you know for sure that your plugin files are stored in a different location.
6. Confirm the installation that you've selected and click "Install". The installer will then run.
7. Once finished you'll be presented with this screen, and you can safely select "Finish" to close the installer and open LABS.
Mac:
1. When you open the installer, you'll be presented with this screen.
2. Then you'll be asked to read the following information. Please close your DAW and any other applications that may use your plugins folders at this point.
3. Agree to the license agreement.
4. Choose your install location. This is only for the plugin files and application, this is not the path for your sample storage. Using your default "Macintosh HD" location is strongly recommended.
5. Confirm the contents of your install and click "Install" to start the installation.
6. Once finished, you'll see this screen and the LABS Plugin will automatically open in standalone.
